Healthy and Safety

Looking beyondCOVID-19.

Engage with the most up-to-date resources relevant to health and safety, including guidance, reference materials and FAQs for our students and associated communities.

Although the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic is behind us, ASTRA remains committed to the ongoing health, safety, and well-being of our students, staff and community. Our planning and protocols have evolved to incorporate long-term strategies for creating safe environments that are adaptable to any public health concerns that may arise in the future.

We continue to engage with government bodies and health professionals to ensure that our protocols align with the latest health advice and best practices. Health and wellbeing remains a top priority at ASTRA and our safety plans are regularly reassessed and refined as necessary.

Teaching and learning will be delivered on campus, with health and safety a priority. Our goal is to accommodate the diverse needs of our students while ensuring that our high standards for education are maintained.

Further updates on course delivery formats will be shared in due course, but students can expect to learn in a safe environment.

Please do not attend campus if you are unwell, particularly if you are exhibiting cold or flu-like symptoms. While specific COVID-19 protocols, such as physical distancing and mask-wearing are no longer mandatory, we encourage everyone to continue following basic hygiene practices, including hand washing and respiratory etiquette.

Campus cleaning measures remain rigorous and additional resources are available to those who wish to continue remote learning or require online study assistance.

If you require anything further or have questions not answered here, contact one of our Student Support Officers by emailing support@astra.edu.au

This page will be refreshed as regularly as required to share timely updates, advice, FAQ’s, online study assistance and who to contact.

Student vaccine requirements

ASTRA is committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming campus for all. While vaccinations are no longer required to access campus, they remain an effective tool for protecting against serious illness. We recommend that students and staff stay up-to-date with vaccinations, including boosters, especially if advised by health authorities.

Access to information about vaccines and booster appointments is available on the myAstra Student Hub.
